Ms. Raziya Khan
Teaching & Learning Lead (KG–Grade 2) | English Teacher (Grades 1 & 2)
Ms. Raziya has over 10 years of teaching experience in the CBSE curriculum across India and the UAE. She joined Al Saad Indian School in October 2021 as Kindergarten Teacher and moved into her current dual role in April 2025, where she teaches English to Grades 1 and 2 while serving as Teaching & Learning Lead for KG to Grade 2. In this leadership capacity, she mentors teachers, conducts classroom observations, and leads training sessions to enhance teaching quality and learning outcomes across the early years. Her career includes serving as Mother Teacher at Asian International School, Abu Dhabi (April 2018–June 2020) and Podar International School, Jalgaon, India (2015–March 2018). During her Diploma in Teacher Training at Bombay Teachers’ Training College, Mumbai, she held the position of Co-operative Secretary for two years. Ms. Raziya designs theme-based lesson plans integrating literacy, numeracy, and life skills, using creative and activity-based teaching methods. She is committed to creating an engaging, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment that fosters creativity, curiosity, and holistic child development. Proficient in English, Hindi, Urdu, and Marathi, she is passionate about dancing, singing, and sports, encouraging students to express themselves through performing arts and physical education.
Ms. Sameena Tajur
Teaching & Learning Lead (Grades 3–6) | Social Science and UAE MSC Teacher
Ms. Sameena has dedicated over 20 years to education since beginning her career as Middle School Social Science Teacher in Hyderabad, India in 1998. She currently serves as Teaching & Learning Lead for Grades 3-6 while teaching Social Science and UAE Moral, Social & Cultural Studies at Al Saad Indian School, a leadership position she has held since April 2023. Previously at Al Saad (April 2021–2023), she taught the same subjects before her promotion to the lead role. Her extensive career includes seven years at Yara International School, Riyadh, where she served as Primary Homeroom Teacher (2006–2013) and Student Admissions Officer (April 2013–October 2017), managing admissions from Nursery to Grade 12 and organizing special admission events. She also worked as Academic Counselor in Hyderabad for two years. Her achievements include receiving the Highest Number of Admissions Award (2015–2016), Decadion Award for 10 years of dedicated service, and Best Teacher of the Academic Year at Yara International School. At Al Saad, she has won First Prize for Best Class Magazine for two consecutive academic years and currently serves as Cookery Club Coordinator (2023–2025). Ms. Sameena believes in being compassionate, kind, and respectful—nurturing every learner’s self-esteem and guiding them to realize their potential. As a passionate and resilient educator who embraces lifelong learning and technology integration, she is dedicated to identifying individual learner needs and empowering students to build confidence, purpose, and success in every step of their journey.
Ms. Saranya Ramachandran Nair
Teaching and Learning Lead (Grades 7–12) | Social Science/Sociology Teacher
Ms. Saranya brings 14 years of teaching experience in Social Science to her role as Teaching and Learning Lead for the secondary section (Grades 7–12). She currently teaches Social Science and Sociology at Al Saad Indian School and previously served as UAE MSc Head at India International School, bringing valuable leadership experience to her current position. Her expertise includes Social Science and Sociology teaching, student mentoring, classroom management, and developing academic support programs that meet diverse learner needs. Ms. Saranya has extensive experience in guiding and mentoring students, helping them navigate both academic challenges and personal growth. She is passionate about fostering critical thinking and creating inclusive learning environments in the classroom where every student feels valued and supported. Her priority is to support and guide her students in becoming not only successful learners but also responsible and compassionate citizens who understand their role in the broader community and can contribute meaningfully to society.
